My First Dune Buggy

This was my first dune buggy. I built it in 1986. In June it was ready for the sand... Or so I thought.

This is what happens when you don't make it up the hill... and the master cylinder breaks away from the frame. NO BRAKES.

The stump, pictured above, ended up between the drivers side tire and the engine.

Even though the pictures don't show it, I was back in the sand one week later. (With a lot of help from my Dad.)
